To educate and empower children to understand differences in peers, become bully prevention advocates, and live as NICEkidsTM. To create awareness and prevention of childhood suicidal thoughts and actions.
Hi, my name is Izzi. I’m 11 years old and I’m in 6th grade. I’ve been bullied and teased because of my differences since 2nd grade. It used to make me really sad. So sad, that I didn’t want to wake up anymore.
At the end of 4th grade, we moved to Kansas to get a fresh start. After I was there for a few weeks, I realized a certain word kept getting used. NICE. The people were nice, the places were nice, everything was nice. Life was getting nice again.
With lots of love and help from my mom, my family, and a few great friends, I got past my sadness. I still have hard days, but with their help, I know I can get through it. I don’t understand why kids can be so mean. Seriously, we’re just kids! We should all be nice to each other and be happy!
That’s why I want to bring back nice. Changing the world, one NICEkidTM at a time!
